FIFA 2010 official logo
The next country to host FIFA World Cup 2010 is South Africa and they have unveiled the official logo on 7th July 2006 designed by agency named Switch Design.

There was a lot of discussions & criticism happened for the Germany FIFA logo by the world designers including the top designer Erik Spiekermann from Germany and he says the logo is “Just Embarrassing” and “The logo contains too much info and is badly presented”, “the focus is not german” and such…
And then came 11designers with their own ideas for the FIFA 2006 logo and many acclaimed the concept by Hesse Design.
Ok, for all the design and branding professionals reading this can comment your views on these designs.
I hated the 2006 logo. Way too noisey and does a bad job of expressing what the logo is supposed to represent. From the 11 designs on the 11designers site I agree that Hesse Design was the best. I also liked the Die Gestalten one. The both seem to capture the energy level of the World Cup which is crucial.

information overload….huh….come on dont just crticize the 2006 logo for the sake of it….my views are quite diffrent…quite a chearfull logo …capturing the mood and spirit of the event…and what information do u want in logo???? any games logo is just image of its essence…and the 2006 well achieves it…..

The new logo is much better and express the game excitement.
