India Alive

Filed under: Art & Design — Hitesh Mehta @ 11:18 am

Visage Images in India who represents GettyImages had thrown a contest for graphic designers, art directors, visualisers last month to participate by designing a poster titled India Alive and the idea was to visualise an image of India. The entries will be judged by a panel drawn from varied creative fields, including photography (Ashok Salian), film (Pankuj Parasher) and few from sculpture and theatre. The results are yet to be announced.. and best 3 poster entries from the region will win the Visage of India Award. While all winners from the west will be announced at Mumbai, those from the northern region will be awarded at Delhi. The east and south regions have been clubbed, and three winners from the two regions combined will be announced at the Bangalore awards ceremony.

Though this is a very tough competition… i really enjoyed designing something for the very first time on such an interesting subject… I have used 42 images from visage collection in this poster collage. Here is my submission.. wish me luck.
